(Video) TN-V in Action
Total_Noob has released a more in-depth trailer video of his upcoming CEF (Custom Emulator Firmware) for the PS Vita.
The brand new video that you can watch below showcases TN-V better than the last one, showing off more features such as changing themes and playing music with the full XMB experience running smoothly on the PS Vita. As we previously announced, TN-V will be compatible with all of the 2.02 and below exploit releases thus far for the Vita; TN-V is not a new exploit itself.
TN-V is still set to release this month, but nothing specific just yet so check back!
Some people expect the 33rd march (2nd april) for the release. Lets see if this will be this special date.
Whenever he releases it, i think he should work on porting it to other exploits like the one on 2.05 and more that can work on 2.05+……there are alot of exploits but people dont have the time or money to do it or look 4 it

What’s the matter with you?! Were you dropped on your head as a child? This does not magically turn your vita into a permanent PSP. This is the best news yet of the cita hacking scene. You should be grateful.

has access to the Vita’s USB port.
Because of that, I believe there’s no
way to code a connection.

The USB is not emulated in the pspemu so no we won’t be able to do anything like that.

DID you ever own a psp?
All psp’s 1000, 2000, 3000, e1000 do have an usb port.
Only the n1000 has a different plug, but can be used with a usb adapter cable similar to the vita.
It will never be possible cause the psp emu doesnt have flash 0 so u cant brick or use its hardware stuff(camera, probably mic, and usb)

You can use the go’s memory directly, without any content manager or media go.
nah only a fat a slim go and now on a 3000 that i took apart but u could use media go to download games. jus saying the hard ware is prety much the same the psp go and outher sony products the psp emulater is based on the psp go becuz thats when the psp systhem was more designed for digital format wy we realy cant emulate umd i guess wasent in the acutal os of the psp emulatern u need content manager for ps vita cuz it has an internal storage n the psp the computer basicly read it like a usb media storage…

Waiting before I update my vita for this. Since i use m vita like my PSP, I keeped it at a lower Firmware, I wanna update since Im getting another PSP, but this Exploit is keeping me from doing it, cause it looks SO DAMN GOOD

There won’t be a new game exploit released for this. Just a reminder this will be for 2.02 and below ONLY. And this isn’t a “jailbreak”.
With PSV OS 2.02, will I STILL need UNO installed on my PSV to utilize TN-V? I don’t have a PS3 and don’t plan on buying one.

to find out if the psp emu hardware support, why not try playing games with wifi or with camera e.g. C.O.D. or invisimals if these hardware of the vita works with these games then there would be a possibility of usb support.
already tested, plus logically impossible, CMA uses MTP not standard USB so it wouldn’t work anyway
looking at the motherboard of the vita looks like the usb part goes trough like a contoler thing before it connect to the memory card. differnt chip i guess but then the psp had a mini usb port n the vita port is different

So to say, that inside the psvita’s psp emulator has to be a chart, product- or file- list with more specific information than just the security check of a key?
And this chart gets updated every time there is a fw update or sony releases a new bunch of net products for the psp, minis or psp one?

Other than as a cute novelty, what is the point of this? The current PSV eCFW menus are way better than the old XMB because they get in and out of games super fast. Why would you want to wait on the XMB?
because XMB will not crash 😉 the game/homebrew crash will be handled and you will be returned to menu without having to restart the exploited game.
A cute novelty is all I’m really wanting. Plus, PSN access through the PSP store is a huge bonus. I bet it will have other advantages over ARK too.
ARK is nice, but having never owned a PSP, I’ve always liked its XMB, how it boots in and out of games, etc., and I greatly prefer it to the other CFW menus we’ve gotten for Vita.

If your PS3 can access PSN you can still download and transfer the games to the Vita. I am on Vita 2.02 and I have done this. You have to use a web proxy like Charles to bypass the update requirement. I bought my Vita in Mid-Feb and it had 2.02 on it. You can send me a message if you need help transferring your Vita games from the PS3 to the Vita without updating your Vita.
There are more great things to this xmb(or vsh) project. I think it’ll be easier to find exploits even in psp demos probably. It’s pretty much a cfw inside of an ecfw(recovery menu and vsh menu)……there are shitloads of exploits and there might be some in the free games anniversary for the vita….its hard for us to find exploits cause we dont have the money……The person who’s making the Vita’s native hack does not have to worry about waiting for exploits cause he already has alot……he’s working with alot now to make the hack….Good job total noob, i respect and appreciate your work……what does system update do in the menu? And ik pictures are not stored in the psp emu like the music so your pictures wont be in the emu only your music and homebrew or games or whatever

No, the graphics look slightly worse on the Vita. It only LOOKS worse because the Vita has a bigger screen and you notice how pixelated the PSP games are. But, you get used to it after awhile and it’s all good.
how about psx games did they fix the sound in TN-V?
tnv is just a psp xxmb which makes it easier for the menjus and stuff and browsers

i love my vita but the games that are nice ahandful and the craps aplenty. Waiting for the release to revive my interest in the vita but in the meantime i’m glad i can play 3ds Fire Emblem on XL. Makes the wait a bit bearable…
if you exit out of the xmb and into the vita screen, the next time you enter the psp xmb, will the themes you set stay or do you have to redo all of it again?

Wonder if it is possible to use the bluetooth on the vita in the pspemu. If so then we could use ps3 controllers on the vita for psp games like the pspgo did.
idk think psp has wifi and a bluthooth card the vita well mines has wifi bluthooth and 3g think the vita is lockdown on its end with what bluethoot it can use pairing a phone is shity cuz u cant transfer picture n videos is jus shows as a an audio thing … think bluthooth is mainly for a head set device and the wifi is more fo the data use with the vita
There are no Bluetooth modules so no we won’t be able to use Bluetooth.
