It’s $12 in the US for PS+ subscribers, too. Been that way for probably at least a week now.

I’m glad someone noticed, lol. I thought the article should be changed to let people know that the US does get that deal, too.

      • jamesssss says:

Actually the US gets a better deal, $12 is about £8. It really annoys me how Sony almost ALWAYS put the exact same figure for both countries and not how much it is actually worth so they make far more out of us in the UK and Europe!

i subscribed.. thought it might come in handy.. and then the next day i wondered what the point was as i have so much music an no need to stream it from the internet.. but then today it did come in handy. i was in a cafe with free wifi and felt like listening to something and was able to. plus i could keep the album for offline play.
another good thing is you can use the account on the psp (use qriosity) on a computer, on a cell phone…
i like the psp version better than ps vita in a way – it’s like you’re in a big room with the channels circling you.

So you pay the cheaper price while your on PS+. I’m wondering what happens when your free month of PS+ runs out will that service also stop and force you to pay the higher price?
ALL the free games for PS+ members also expire the second your PS+ membership expires. So all those free games are NOT really free they are just rented as you have to return them after.

I thought it was good being so cheap but as I’m not going to stay on PS+ and only checking it out coz its free I refuse to pay for things that will also expire when my PS+ membership expires.

Another scam from $ony that they are getting away with.

    • IgnusArmagadan says:

If that were true, then games bought at discounted prices would be charged again at the full price if PS+ is terminated, but they’re not. There’s no scam involved and you get to keep anything that money was involved with. The only free stuff that you don’t get to keep are games, from what I notice. You get to keep free themes and avatars, too.

    • Yes says:

It is not a scam. Sony mentions that you cant keep the free stuff once your PS+ subscription expires. What makes you think it is a scam?

  6. Jd8531 says:

Yea but think about it, most games you end up blowing through, beating and end up trading in within a months time. Also you get to play tons of games that would otherwise cost individually.

  7. stOneskull says:

why not stay on ps+ ?
$20 over three months is not that much money
but anyway, if you change your mind and resubscribe, it all gets unlocked again.

    • NakedFaerie says:

Well for me there is no reason to say on PS+ as I already own the free games so I will get nothing out of it.

What does PS+ really do for anyone? Its just a scam.
So you get to play a few demos a week before everyone else. Demos are usually free but it looks like you have to pay Sony to play demos on their consoles.
So it auto syncs trophies and savegames. woopie doo. So your happy that Sony autoupdate your console ridding it of any type of CFW or homebrew.

The only thing that does look good is you get a discount on some items on the PSN store. BUT when the discount is $1 it doesn’t seem all that logical to pay Sony heaps of money to save $1 hear and there.

This Music Unlimited is the very first thing I’ve ever seen on PSN that does look good as it is a huge discount but still not enough to get me to pay for PS+ and I still call it Sony’s legal scam.

      • jamesssss says:

Do what I did, 30 day trial (if you can get one) then buy music unlimited at the discounted rate 🙂 as they will let you keep it.

I only have PS+ for 30 days and have not really used it, the games are not worth it although I will blast through the 1 Vita game (thanks to Charles Proxy) that I don’t own before my times up!

-__- this is for download music? i wonder why they create this if Open CMA is on the console to put your own music pirate of course into the console, the cds are way to high to buy one this time, when i was in school way long ago the cd of the offspring i think it was conspiracy of one was 25$ pesos in Argentina now the last time i saw it it was….50$ i think way to high than the first time, and when i saw it with 25$ it was an old cd.Seriously i will wait until another CMA will released and put my own music for free,i bet Sony wants you to use internet to see what are you uploading to your console, thats not good,is like they are the *** police.

    • xoombie503 says:

music unlimited has been around for a while now.you can also use it on cell phones and ps3. i dont know about other countries but $12 aint much for a year, also you can use your ps3, pc to transfer music if you want.

    • stOneskull says:

you don’t need open cma to copy music to the vita. i’ve copied mp3s with no problems using normal cma. music unlimited is more a streaming program. i wouldn’t pay normal price for it but the $12 (well $14 in australia) is pretty good for a year. i won’t use it that much but there are times where it will come in handy for my cell phone when i’m out and about.

      • Hellinferno says:

normal cma uses internet conection, what makes you think they dont see anything that you are uploading to your console?,not only music also movies too, thats why im only using open cma instead of normal cma and dont forget the internet, why will you use it if you dont have internet for example huh?.

  9. Adrian says:

Nice offer, but after testing it using the 30 day trial I really can’t use Music Unlimited as I’m missing (or overlooking?) some key features like a “current playlist” and Last.fm integration.

  10. Goteki 45 says:

Why didn’t they just add a Pandora app instead of trying to sell streamed music? I don’t get.
