    i have a question.
is it possible to change my us account to hk or jap account without updating 1.81?
i have several accounts and if 2.00 is require for changing account.. it probably have to update

  3. wekwek

There is a 30 day free PS+ trial once we update to fw 2.0?

  4. Jan

    third, not to update.

imagine, you anticipated the exploit for the long time, 24/7 watch, then you will gonna update?

    for IMHO, ECFW is better…….

thank you total noob and other devs for the ECFW..

  5. Warlord698

you forgot the pro of being able to wirelessly transfer files

    • stOneskull

and there are others too.. trophies.. online play.. normal messaging, gps/location options, and other internet activity… then there are patches to games and DLC..

    • HIMFan

You can do that with eCFW. Just get FTP homebrew and use filezilla. You can transfer things that Sony wouldn’t give you the choice to transfer.

  6. huz84

working keep gc tn-c 1.81 to 2.00 frezee? and wait look latest if can ecfw? or not To Update 2.00 tomorrow launch update

  7. alan

unless sony choice to use android OS, so I can use my vita like a tablet; otherwise no plan to update.

  8. por

Does someone know of it is possible to switch from a US to a EU account without updating??

  9. ROCKhard

Don’t update there’s truly nothing that great about the new update unless the update allows you to fully play your ps3 games or even more cool letting you play ps2 games so with that in mind don’t waste your firmware loss.

  10. ils

can i still play the free game when PS+ inactive ?

  11. NakedFaerie

I”m staying on 1.81 and eCFW until there is a new OpenCMA and eCFW for 2.0. Till then Sony can get stuffed. I’m not going to pay multiple times for the same games so I need ISO support.
I have UMDs and EBOOTS of games and they cant be transfered to the vita so I’m not going to buy them a 3rd time.

  12. mad8vad

I’ll update. About 6 dollars/month is good for ability to always play games

  13. SARS1983

    1.81 is good with iso

  14. Maxilus

What free games they are offering? If there a good game, then I will update but.. will regret after that for the loss of ISO and Homebrew support. 🙁

    • idontknow

well i already had enough of psp games. Moreover we can’t use that beautiful touch screen and back touch pad with eCFW for homebrew anyway. i waiting for native vita hack to be released 🙂

    • HIMFan

The line up will change periodically to keep people interested.

  15. notder

play psp game until satisfy and then update OFW lol

  16. kuagelo

Someone’s definitely going to update to 2.0 – either willingly or not. Best wait for them to report about eCFW still being runnable. ^_^

    • stOneskull

i’m happy to.. i’m looking forward to gravity rush through ps+.. the only thing i want to make sure of is removing all traces of eCFW from the vita first.. even if it means formatting the memory card

    • Ukdna

Wow, imagine Sony releasing an update that ‘seems’ to run eCFW, then at a specified time, is programmed to break it. I’ll never update again unless its to Vita CFW

  17. Crimson

No plan to update, still need to wait longer

  18. bash

I think I’ll wait a just while for the upcoming kexploit … SKFU selling a vita devkit device, after digging in it ;-p ; and Total noob stopping with the just released TN C version (thanks to him )
I must admit that there is too much clues for not update too quicly.
Because if I were someone who explicitly say that ther is leak in the vita sdk, allowing running unsigned code, then I would wait for a major firmware release before releasing an exploit.
    But maybe I’m wrong …

  19. Ryan

There is no point upgrading just for the few games they offer for psn + users and losing the ability to run ISOs

  20. bash

Cos for sure that 2.0 update will bring a strict CMA cheking more deeply what you are trying to download on vita.
And a firmware that will of course, just check the content of the memory card, now it knows where and what to delete without notice … hmmm?
Making IMHO, a new exploited game useless with those freshly anti-free-vita-use’s tools.

  21. idontknow

i’m not care about ISO so i will update mine .. 😀

  22. Kizu

•Improved Web Browser – The web browser has been updated with better HTML5 support.

Finally sony has done something useful for us…..

  23. StepS

    Cons:

    • Zero support for both audio and video under HTML5.

      • Wrozen

It’s still a lot better than before. Vita with 2.00 has 243 points on their scale. And 1.81 Vita only has 50 points. But still, not updating.

        • TelgarDrakore

Until the Vita web browser does audio and video in HTML5, no update to it is worth ***. Video and Audio are pretty much the only thing that matters, otherwise it just supports websites which it should have straight from the box.

  24. Thewish

Its time to release the last exploit if there is realy a exploit. So people without ecfw have a last chance to get homebrew before update 2.0 comes out. I finaly must update if there is no other exploit. So there is no decission for people like me without ecfw that bought the vita 4 days ago.

  25. Ukdna

Remember all the exploits for psp (and currently PS3) that require downgrading to older firmware to use? That’s because the devs start a project on a certain firmware and often have to finish it on the same firmware. So Be patient! Dont drink the Sony Kool-aid of free PSN games, you only ‘own’ them as long as you subscribe to PSN. I’m guessing this means you have to have Internet connection to even launch those games?

  26. Andalia

Everything I do is playing emulators, why update then, lol

  27. mxriozero

      je… sorry
      in my country Bolivia

      I have PSP3000 for isos y cso

      • TelgarDrakore

Why would you even buy a PSVita with prices that high and unobtainable by you? Waste of money then, you should never have bought the system.

  28. MantarR

What they need PDF the vita is a PDF document viewer. official or not…

  29. AshTerra

I have an awesome evil solution here. I hope you guys are on this one. I have a theory:

Ok, I got a PS3 Slim (not even hacked yet) and a Vita, planning on keeping the exploit hack.

Since my PS3 is using a legit PSN account and full access to Playstation Plus, it also has the capabilities to download PS Vita titles from Playstation Plus, am I correct? Will I be able to copy the vita game content from my PS3 which I downloaded from Playstation Plus into my Vita?

    • Adin

No, because you transfer you will need internet access on PS3 (and to download games) and when you transfer it will check firmware and see it is below latest and refuse transfer.

      • AshTerra

So you’re saying a legit, unhacked PS3 can’t even do a backup/restore for an exploited Vita. Is that what you’re implying?

  30. AshTerra

Maybe I forgot to mention my PS3 is on Full PSN(internet) and newest official Firmware. Do you mean when the transfer being done the PS Vita itself needs to go online via PSN just to copy the game?

    • HIMFan

It doesn’t work that way. Period. But out of sheer curiosity you’re gonna try it anyway “Well what could it hurt to try. Hey, wouldn’t it be funny if it actually worked?!” And then you’ll try it, and it won’t, and sure you didn’t lose anything, but you just wasted a significant amount of time on it. More than the 15 seconds it took me to give you a longer version of “no” just to try to save your life.

    • TelgarDrakore

Your not listening to a word we say. The PS3 is connected to the internet, and it will use the internet to check your Vita to see what firmware it is on. When the PS3 finds out the Vita is on an older firmware it will refuse the transfer. Your Idea can never work.

  31. thedicemaster

I’m not going to need a mail app.
my phone has a bigger screen than my vita, and it would mean having another bubble that can’t be removed.

    • sasuke1981

lol what? your phone is bigger than a 5 inch screen??? thats not a phone is a donkey cart XD…

      • thedicemaster

        Samsung galaxy note 2, 5.55″
I can no longer return to <5" phones.
it's not very comfortable for 1 handed use but for 2 handed use its the most comfortable phone I've ever used.

  32. errm

Hmm I will NOT!!!! Update Fxck Sony..someone is going to crack this firmware (1.81 and below ) if Sony does rewrite the emulator everyone on 2.0 and above will be *** out of luck
Think about it, lots of hackers have been working (revere engineering ) the PSP emulator for almost a YEAR and even found ways OUT of the emulator it’s self and into the VITA environment so staying on 1.81 is crucial, to update means possibly ULV won’t work, PSP exploits definitely won’t work
    IMO STAY ON 1.81!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

    • HIMFan

They have not found a way out of the PSP sandbox. They can just see other files. They can’t readily access it or we would’ve had way better mods already. SKFU obviously has a way to run unsigned code on the Vita’s firmware, so it really won’t matter. It’s smart if he nails down his method and then releases it later though. So maybe when the Vita is on like 3.0 he releases it and it’ll work on everything from that point back so regardless of what people are on it will work. But then we’re back to where we are now, “well 3.1.1 is coming out and it has the ability to play your PS3 games on your Vita should we update?” and then you don’t want to lose your 3.0 and prior mod that lets you do whatever else on the Vita, but you really want that newly added ability to communicate with the PS3 that wasn’t originally there. IT’S JUST A RATRACE. Just *** update. It won’t hurt.

  33. AshTerra

Total_noob… Don’t call it quit. The final boss just arrived how can you not want it’s EXP and coins.. Lol (T_T)

  34. Jennifer

don’t update support homebrew! on vita!

  35. Skars

I’ll not update until I finish Metal Gear Peace Walker on vita, that is far better to play with two analog sticks than on PSP. Thanks for all developers and big thanks to Total Noob for his CEF TN-C, that I’ll enjoy to the bones before it dies on forced updates.

The day that I’ll surrender on updates is only when a very desired game force me to. And I have no one in sight at the moment.

  36. DQEight

so with ps plus, how can the wifi vita owners play on the go if you need an internet connection?

    • Skars

What? Didn’t know that, its a kind of DRM? PS+ forces players to stay online if they want to play?

Why people who pay for their games often got fu*k up while having isoldr is always more user friendly?

In my point of view this is lack of respect from sony.

I never used PS+, is that true? If yes, so, I’ll never use it for real.

      • hammer

not true when you dl a game from psn+ the licence last for as long as you have psn+ regardless if you are online or not

  37. wartaf

if my ecfw will be gone on this 2.0, i wouldnt update it! until there’s something new.

  38. Ramy
