How to flash your Wave with Bada 2.0

Almost a year ago Bada 2.0 beta was released. Samsung never really released an installer so, instead the user has to manually flash the firmware on to their phone. Flashing is a very risky procedure and the slightest mistake could ruin your phone AND void your warranty. I nearly lost my own phone when I flashed it so, I am writing this article to help others flash their phones correctly.

First of all, not all waves can be flashed due to memory problems so if you have any of the earlier models chances are you can’t flash your phone.

What you will need:

  • Multiloader v5.62 or v5.65 (these versions worked for me)
  • The respective firmware edition for your phone, available at www.sammobile.com
  • A Samsung Wave phone

First dial the following code:

*#7465625#

Make sure that Sim Lock and Network Lock are OFF, if they are ON then you can NOT flash your phone

Next, make sure that your phone is charged, the flashing process will drain about 20% of the battery and if the power runs low when flashing you might brick your device

If both Sim and Network Lock are OFF and your phone is charged, then you are ready to begin!

  1. Backup all the stuff on your memory card before you begin
  2. Turn your phone OFF and remove the MicroSD and SIM cards
  3. Connect your phone to your computer
  4. While the phone is OFF, press Volume down,Lock key and Camera key at the same time until an icon appears on your phone
  5. Launch Multiloader
  6. Make sure that Boot Change and  Full Download are checked
  7. Make sure that BRCM2153 is selected
  8. Choose all the files that are in the firmware

9. Click on Port search

10.Click on Download

11.WAIT!

12. The transfer should be complete, you should get a message telling you that the transfer is complete

Restart your phone and voila! you have Bada 2.0 on your device.

NOTE: If the transfer gives you an error, then DO NOT worry, just restart your computer as long as you DO NOT use your phone in between you should be fine

I am NOT responsible for any damage done, Flash YOUR phone at YOUR own risk

DO NOT operate your phone during the process, do not even touch the screen!

It’s not “useless”. Believe it or not, there’s actually people who like to hear about other hacking scenes. This isn’t just a blog about the Vita. If you don’t care for these kinds of blogs, then don’t read it. It’s as simple as that.

Fair enough. We wanted to talk about something outside of the typical sony boundaries, but I agree in hindsight that this is a bit too far from the core topics of this blog.

This is wololo’s blog, everything he wants to write (or others write) is to be taken into account.

Nowhere it says this is a “vita blog”.

You big babies crying all over the place should be banned.

He also included the fact that others also can write things on his blog. Did you just see the first part of the first sentence and go, “Nope, that’s fucking wrong” and decided to argue with what he was saying? I’m going to bring back the term “r-tard” just for you.

Wait…. something isn’t right here, agreement months ago Wololo posted a blog about urbanix and another ps minI which was a “hint” to us to get it, but none of us knew it was an exploitable game until last month…this bada sh!t might be a way to install user mode vita apps or ps3 related hack, why else would he post this trash if it wouldn’t be useful :)

What is bada? It never really tells us, I Lt says a firmware, but it vague. because of some choice words i assume it has to do with android, but it wasn’t once mentioned… I try to keep pretty current with the android scene, and I’ve never heard of bada, ever. this article was a bit out there in terms of whats usually posted on here.
