Release: 6.60 TN-A H.BIN mod by Hiroi01: run TN HEN on any usermode exploit
Good news, everyone! If you happen to be running VHBL on one of the previous exploits such as Monster Hunter, this is for you: Japanese developer Hiroi01 created a new loader that makes Total_Noob’s 6.60 CFE TN-A compatible with your game. That’s right, this is not limited to Urbanix anymore.
Please note that I haven’t tested this yet, and I suspect it might only work on 1.80 and 1.81, so technically this could be a solution limited to Monster Hunter owners (as far as I know, some offsets are different between all these firmwares, and that could prevent TN’s exploit from working correctly on earlier firmwares), but please give it a try and report success or failure.
Installation is relatively simple, but requires you to follow the steps carefully, don’t mix up the files 🙂
- Get VHBL for your user exploit (for example, VHBL for Monster hunter if you have Monster Hunter and are running on 1.80). The purpose of this step is not to get VHBL, but to get the exploited savegame for your game. VHBL is actually not used at all in this process.
- Get Total_Noob’s TN-A for Urbanix (yes, it’s the Urbanix version, at this point it does *not* matter that you don’t have the game Urbanix
- Get Hiroi01’s mod here
- Replace your VHBL’s H.BIN with the H.BIN from the mod
- Install all of that to your Vita with Open CMA, and run the exploit like you would normally run VHBL
- TN’s exploit should load.
Again, I haven’t tested this yet, so please report failure or success 🙂

Playing Breath of Fire 3 cso on the 1.80 MHFU US version and so far it works. Saves and all. At the beginning it says there isn’t enough room on the memory stick duo, but that is a lie cause the game saves fine. lol

Download all the stuff mentioned in the post like the Urbanix exploit and the H.BIN file. Replace the H.BIN file you find in the MHFU vhbl exploit folder with Hiroi01’s. Then place the Urbanix save file in the PSVITA PSAVEDATA folder and the newly revised MHFU save in there aswell. Then Use OPEN CMA to transfer the both saves.
US Urbanix version is the one I used
If you only have Monster Hunter Freedom Unite downloaded on your Memory Card then that is that will show up until you put some more stuff on there.

no not at all. i only copied mhuf save file. froze little bit then an error poped
1.81 blocks the MHFU exploit so it will not work. The Urbanix files contain the cfw files needed to run the cfw.

Why would you upgrade to 1.81. You will lose your exploit.
Anyone that tested it on a old FW where Motorstorm Artic Edge savegame exploit is active on?
I have it still on the FW where I got it with, Motorstorm AE installed but haven’t used the savegame exploit yet. So if anybody has tried or will try soonish, please drop a status update!
You can try it but I was not succesful on 1.67 with sc3 and I was told by wololo that a backport would most likely happen and then I was told by the Z that it would require a lot of unnecessary work and that I should get the new game.

that is because you are not making the INSTALL.zip (with no compression) with the homebrew. inside of NPUZ00077
The same thing happens when you run urbanix exploit. It means that eCFW is running and the only thing you need is to install any homebrew. Monster hunter icon(or urbanix in our case) is the only game that is installed in the ecfw by default.
use vhbl and use FTP. create the iso folder in the root and copy ur game. then put the TN-a and the MHFU photo will have ur game iso at the side

I have replaced vhbl’s h.bin from mod EU, Urbanix save copied with OpenCMA but when i run the exploit the screen goes black and get error: C1-2858-3

With orignal h.bin VHBL still works, but cant install Urbanix savegame.
Same happens to me :/ Even tried the already packaged files for MHF2 EU on zload.net and just get a black screen and it crashes. 🙂

you dont have to install it pass the urvanix save file normaly and add the h.bin on the vhbl thats all

Lol ***. I just updated from 1.8 with Monster Hunter and bought the new ninja release game. Oh well, guess i’ll just have to wait till Tomorrow. At least my psn is back for now.

If you’re referring to Tuesday’s Ninja Release – you don’t need an EU account or PSN card to get it. I’ve already got the game itself (NA/US region), just not the exploit. Remain patient and you’ll be fine, friend.

I replace the H.bin for the monster hunter and ubanix h.bin with this h.bin. Copy from open cma to psvita. I ran monster hunter i get the grey screen with monster hunter freedom unite with the monster hunter save picture but nothing else load when i click the X button or the other button. When click triangle its just ask are you sure you want to delete it? How do you install urbanix because it wont load in the vhbl loader to install it…

I get better results if I don’t use this new H.bin file. At least the original one for TN gives me a red screen. And not just throw up an error.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and MH2G both have working VHBL save files. And those VHBL only work on 1.80. There is no Monster Hunter exploits on 1.81. This is only for te people who stayed on 1.80 because they had just dropped USD$20 to get it and play VHBL on their Vita and didn’t wanna pay anymore money to do so.
Because you’re on OFW 1.81 – the Monster Hunter exploit will no longer work. Sony patched it.
On 1.81 you will need Urbanix or you’ll have to wait for the Ninja Release on Tuesday.
