PS3 4.25 Update Brings 1GB CloudStorage and PS+ Discount
The Playstation 3 is getting a new firmware update that’s expected to launch on September 12. The new 4.25 firmware update is bringing Playstation Plus members a free increase of cloud storage from 150mb to 1GB. The 4.25 update will not have support for uploading vita game saves to the cloud however we should see the PlayStation Vita get Plus later this year as promised.
Also if you’ve been looking to get Playstation Plus or renew now may be the time. European members can grab an entire 25% off a year membership from now until September 19th. This means you can get an entire year’s membership for only €37.49.
Buuu… and US ?? No discount 🙁
There hasn’t been anything good free for PS+ since the push in January. Even some of the *** freebies were better than nothing, Sony.
Borderlands free, infamous 2 free, dust private beta, all spyro ps1free, all crash bandicot ps1 free, lbp2 free, sonic 1 and 2 free, I don’t know you but there’s been a lot or free great stuff for ps+ members that’s only naming a few there tons others
uh and Red Dead Redemption along with Scott pilgrim this week plus all of that^ and more. But be for warned once your membership runs out you can no longer play those games, you “rent” them.
well it’s a netflix type service with discounts on some items. If you stop paying for netflix you cant watch the movies.
With Netflix, you pay for it, you get all the currently available movies – a pretty large selection.
With Plus you get the currently available stuff – a pretty small selection, plus you get the stuff you have previously downloaded on plus.
The effect is, with Netflix, there is high incentive to buy into Netflix and start watching, with Plus, there is very little incentive to buy in and start playing.

Resident Evil 6 is finished and done, so doubt it will be 4.25. There was a story floating about on MCV (I think) the other day about a consignment getting stolen in Germany or somewhere then being sold in a shop in Poland a few days later, pics of the case and actual disc were on display, surprised it hasn’t popped up in the usual places already tbh.
