Sony just made an update available for the Playstation Mobile SDK.
The “changelog” is as obscure as one would expect from Sony: “minor bugfix update for application execution stability which all developers are advised to update to.“. This could mean anything, and comes just a few days after a user mode hack was announced, potentially in the PSM. However for now I cannot tell if the two events are related.
Those of you who use the PSM for their Vita apps are invited to update at the following url: http://www.playstation.com/psm/developer/openbeta/
Full PR below:
We have released a minor bugfix update for application execution stability which all developers are advised to update to.
You can download the SDK 0.99.11 from the following page:
http://www.playstation.com/psm/developer/openbeta/download.htmlIf you are using a PS Vita, you will also need to update the PSM Dev Assistant on this device.
To do this:
- Connect your device to the internet via Wifi or Carrier
- Click on the “PSM Dev” application icon on the Home screen
- At the top of the Live Area screen, you should notice an Orange ball. Please click on this.
- Follow the instructions for downloading and installing the update on the PS Vita.
The PSM Dev Assistant for Android should update when you deploy your projects, however if it does not, then please uninstall the PSM Dev Assistant from the Settings menu.

Interesting, but i understand that Yifan is talking about a specific game. He said this in the forum:
“The main problem right now is that the base address 0×81000000 is read only by the game that’s loaded.”
It might be a game running inside PSM though, but i understand it more as he means a specific Vita game.
-
I took that to mean the game that is loaded at that specific time, not a specific game.
-
Yeah, it can be defined as both things. “The game” can be talking about one specific game in general, or one specific game at the time like you mention.
