Vita firmware 1.80 is reported to be live in several countries already (at least the US, Japan and Australia).
Remember that if you are waiting for the VHBL release, you’ll need to give me some time to test VHBL on this firmware and let you guys know. As usual, if homebrew is what you’re looking for, don’t update unless you really need to. I’ll be testing this update asap with VHBL, and I’ll post my update here 
If you can’t wait, you can update by going to your Vita’s settings, and select “system update”.

vHBL is testing on v1.8, so after this they are going to release the name of the game. (read entry)

This is really just a PS3 update in disguise, “PS1 classics”

Account switching now forces you to format the card to be used. If you cancle the message after a system restore the vita won’t read the card.

Unfortunately I can confirm that none of my so games are currently comparable. This includes final fantasy 7,8,9, Simpson, ages adventure etc. Dont update unless u know its working. Unfortunately I did and now I have no access to my owned psx games. I have not tested my vhbl to confirm. I will let u know mid day tomorrow. Hopefully someone can confirm in the mean time. This is us 1.80 update

Ok so apparently in order to download psx games u need a ps3. This blows for all that have a 3.55 or those going without a ps3 all together. Ill update tomorrow after my engagements.

Vhbl uses an exploit inside a game not in the firmware so vhbl will sure work

Good to finally have the back touchpad working on the web. No zoom or left/right scroll though. Features have to be manually turned on… Ps1 dl’s should come with the store update. Input such as this, which im using on vita now has a line break where
enter is. You can still get enter back by hitting the numbers button. Okay, thats all i have for now. 5 minutes of test time here at work. Hopefully i wont miss the vhbl link while im asleep in the morning. -

Yes. Just download it on PS3, and the game will appear as a bubble on the XMB. Click on the triangle button on this bubble and choose copy

There is a great chance that the newly introduced save check can be bypassed but this would make adding homebrews even a greater pain in the ass and definitely will slow the release

The memory card thing has realllyyyyy pissed me off, I have my entire Hatsune Miku Project Diva Extend saved game on my Vita and now I can’t get it back as my card is signed in as my UK account on that memory card. 100s of hours of game time and scores potentially down the toilet!!
Give up, f**k you Sony you make an amazing console but why the hell would you make this so difficult, it was ridiculous not being able to swap accounts before without all the BS and now you do this, just why?
Anybody fancy a POS Vita, it will be on Ebay in the next couple of hours cus I have had enough!!
My PS3 can be downgraded to 3.55, sooo tempted to do it now as I don’t want to give this bunch of w****rs anymore of my hard earned money. Supporting the game industry gets you screwed by it so why bother, I will support Microsoft and its partners but screw you Sony this is the final straw.
