Mamosuke confirmed to me today that Teck4′s exploit for the PSP Emulator in the vita is still working on 1.52. Note that it doesn’t guarantee 100% that some of the techniques used to get HBL to work on top of this exploit haven’t been patched, as I haven’t tested myself. But for now I’m confident. I might update to test that, at some point.

If you’re planning to release HBL on USA launch, then shouldn’t you use the most up-to-date firmware till the launch?
’cause if the recent firmware patches some tricks you used to run HBL better on VITA so that it no longer works, then what’s the point of releasing it on USA launc since, most likely, USA version of VITA will be shipped with the latest firmware out there.
So I think you have to use the most up-to-date firmware until the USA launch and test HBL.-
Or arguably I could get other people to test it for me, and guarantee that at least *I* can keep investigating the potential benefits of this exploit. Just like a PSP1000 is still very useful to understand how a pspgo works without breaking the pspgo, a lower firmware is interesting to find breaches in higher firmwares. If I lock myself out, I get information and I can tell people to stop hoping for the release, but I also prevent myself from doing further (maybe useful) information

Yes, and there is always time to upgrade the firmware, but at the moment is imposible to downgrade it.

There are no physcal PSP Games on Vita. You have to trade them in with a PSP with UMD reader on PSN, pay, and then you can download them from the PSN on your vita.
Until someone makes an external UMD reader for the vita … based on a psp perhaps.

Thank You to wololo and all the other peeps not mentioned. That take the time too make all these wonderful things happen to the devices we all love. You know Nintendo,Microsoft and Sony could all learn a great deal from people like this and others because they not only show the weaknesses of a system they also show what the system can really do. No one wants to buy the same game over and over again like oh I got super mario bros for the nes and the snes and all these other consoles and I just bought a wii and have to buy the game Again just to play it on this new kool console heck with that thats not what we want we want a fair balance here they over charged for years and now its the users turn. Thats my rant and Thank God for gifted minds like this and be very thankful for roms and emulators

when we try to connect to ps store, it says it the server is not available…
when we connect the vita to a pc with cma, it asks to install it.. as if it cant see CMA running on our vita..
were on 1.52 anyway… its somewhat ok that we cant connect… the best part is that we have the unit,…lols… we just dont have mp3 and vids for now…:(
it also a value pack with uncharted… if this is of any help…^_^

Its the driver problem on the PC if u still can’t connect Vita to PC, try uninstall the driver for vita on ur PC upon connecting the vita to ur PC, I also encounter the problem but then I try on my other PC and it can connect, then I figure out the problem lies on the driver

You need to say you live in a country where the PSN is available. I don’t know if that’s the case for the philippines. Try to reset your console, and say you live in Japan, or in Hong Kong, then try to create a psn account there

anyway, are you referring to factory reset thing? what about the trophies i got?

Yes, it’s the factory reset. You will lose the trophies, but you will get them back next time you reuse the other account. Make a backup before you do that.

No. Sony said that PS2 support is very unlikely to be introduced. If yes, then people will need to wait for first valuable Vita hacks first, and then some third-party dev can make an emulator (I’m pretty sure the Vita hardware allows it well)
