Release: TN-Hen E
As promised, Total_Noob is back with a new version of his Hen. If you don’t know yet what a Hen is, HEN stands for Homebrew Enabler, and is basically a system that allows you to run fan made games, emulators, and plugins on your PSP. The major improvement of this release is a menu where you can configure your plugins, based on Bubbletune’s Game Categories plugin.
The other features described in the changelog should not surprise you too much, as Total_Noob announced them a week ago in this interview.
I’ll quote the changelog:
- – Added ‘TN Settings’ option to the XMB where you can adjust your configurations and plugins (based on Bubbletune’s Game Categories).
- – Added OSK Character Limit Increase (the Internet Browser OSK only supports 512 characters. This patch allows you to use 1518 characters).
- – Added password control at startup (change password in ‘Security Settings’).
- – Added sceUmdMan_driver patch (umd4hombrew is not necessary anymore).
- – Added ability to access flash0, flash1, flash2, flash3 and UMD Disc via USB.
- – Added PSX multi-disc support.
- – Added possibility to hide hen eboot in the game menu.
- – Added version.txt display.
- – Added more functions to kubridge library.
- – Cloned more NIDs wich Sony removed in 6.20.
- – Fixed bug that didn’t show ‘Memory Card Utility’ in pops.
- – Fixed syscall execution in kernel mode (thanks to neur0n).
- – Redesigned NID Resolver.
- – Updated NID Table.
- – Improved plugins compatiblity: PSPConsole, Macro Fire, Custom Firmware Extender, Brightpad, Battery Warning Plugin and many more!

Awesome! For now, I’m sticking with 6.20 PRO but maybe I will switch later. Also, the password feature is a neat feature but useless when you can just cold boot it to remove it xD
The Password feature is useful for people who use the permanent Patch
There is no permanent patch for TN-HEN E
But you can not run it again if it’s password protected
It seems as there are quite a few problems with TN-Hen E such as no game plugins working, crash on opening TN setting, ect. but its still amazing!! 🙂

Total Noob.. Man, why so awesome? I’m so switching back to TN when you include more ISO support, but I’m sorry… I have to stick with the best (and perma), so I won’t be upgrading my PSP Go to this, just my 3k, but very nice, can’t wait for TN F!

This is quite a nice feature. I like that it’s within the actual menu as opposed to pressing select button. I say this because I always hated how the recovery menu popped when I’m listening to music when pressing select. It’s minor but I preferred still listening to the current song while searching for the next as opposed to having to stop because the select button was used.

well ***……of the 5 years that i’ve had this…i don’t know why i never thought of that XD….I’ve always pressed select because it was next to start which of course is the pause button. damn me.

I disagree, almost everyone’s been technically “stealing”. Whether it’d be Team GEN, the PRO Team, TN, etc. They’ve all been using/reversing M33 Modules to use in their HEN/LCFWs.

Just want to say me and my friend at work love the new hen. I don’t care what anyone says about it, I get around 99% iso/cso compatibility and always have with this and Prometheus Loader on my Go. He should create a way to access the iso folder like he did with the new functions for the hen in this new version. Then be able to select a game to play or even delete from there. We been playing WWE Allstars in adhoc mode at work. Awesome game BTW. Thanks TN! Keep ’em coming! Been here since HBL R79.

OK OK TENEMOS EL CFW 6.20 Y EL HEN 6.20-E
BUENO la cosa es esta en CFW podemos manejar los ISOs Desde el XMB lo cual resulta muy atractivo la compatibilidad es de casi el 100, los psx se manejan aun cuando es permanente el cfw, y podemos manejar pluggins, homebrew, y demas
y tambien tenemos driver de sony m33 e Inferno
Y por otro lado tenemos el Hen-e con el cual no podemos manejar los isos desde el xmb, no lo podemos poner en permanente sin que pierda la compatibilidad con psx, y podemos manejar pluggins home y demas, pero en este NO tenemos la compatibilidad del driver Inferno…
bueno mi pregunta es, porque al Hen de total-Noob no le agregan las funciones que le faltan para que este completo y solo dejan un Hen full para 6.20 y otro hen full para 6.35.. seria mejor y no enredarian a los usuarios, ademas que se mejoraria ya bastante el Hen.. no crees wololo?

Inferno is the name of the new iso driver installed on CFW PRO-B4. It is a modified M33 driver that is supposed to have higher compatibility to ISOs and CSOs. (although I can’t run my coded arms iso on it…)

TN-E has the most sexiest plugin management around – right in the XMB.
and its a HEN, not a LCFW, so theres naturally no ISO loader built-in,
but when you use aLoader you can run ISOs from the XMB just like in PRO.
I’ve put the en_tnsettings.txt and en_vshmenu.txt into the seplugins and the tn-e folder in games can someone tell me wat im forgetting? ,And where do i put the sdk folder? thanks in advance.

So far only 6.20 pro b4 have inferno and yes it works on psp go, I have both TN-D and 6.20 Pro b4 for my psp go, Inferno can play (more compatible with isos)more iso then the other 2 drivers N…..,and m33 featured on Tn-A – TN-D.

I just need to know where to put the en_tnsettings.txt and en_vshmenu.txt and the sdk folder ,i have a pspgo 5g 6.20 tn-d perm.(Of course when i tried to install tn-e i already uninstall tn-d perm)when i put the 2 txt files into seplugins do i have to add them to the vsh .txt or not and i tried putting the sdk folder at the psp root.did i do this right(because i got a blk screen and it shut off,when i turned it on it was ofw 6.20.

Hola, saludos,… amigos de la psp, comparto esta información de mi psp 3001 con CFW 6.20 Utilizo Hen-E. No entiendo porque en información del sistema sale lo siguiente:

Tengo instalado el prometheos iso loader 0.1 y Aloader 1.25
Me funcionan todos los juegos.
Los Ejecutos desde el XMB.
Se pierde el Hen cuando quito la bateria.
Puedo apagar y encender mi psp sin perder el HEN.
NO UTILICE EL HEN PERMANENTE, desde que uso el HEN-C, apago y enciendo mi psp sin perder el Hen (lo dije por aca).
IMPORTANTE: todas las instalaciones la hago sin conectar mi psp a la Pc,
utilizo el lector de memoria de mi Pc, copio o pego desde la Pc a la memoria directamente…
Espero que esta información ayude al desarrollo del HEN…

Ah, tengo en mi Pc, guardado todos los archivos que estan en mi MS de la Psp 3001 la que utilizo para jugar… Utilizo dos memory stick una de 8 GB y otra de 2 Gb. En ambas tengo los mismos archivos… FUNCIONA
Quien quiera comparto estos archivos para su psp con CFW 6.20…
Formatear la MS, Los copian y pegan en la raiz de la MS, despues ejecutar el HEN.

es el unico permanente para 6.20 de total noob,
Aunque tambien puedes utilizar el cfw620 pro,, es mejor y tambien permanente,,
con respecto a tu duda, no apagabas tu psp, solo la ponias a dormir, cuando
quitaste la pila se borro el hen porque dejo de tener energia la RAM,
Mi recomendacion es el ProHEN para 6.20 update, si te convence ., le instalas el permanet patch,, ….
