Did I lie about TN Hen?
A quick post to calm down some news about me and Magixien breaking up….we still love each other very much, and he hasn’t filed any divorce papers yet :D.
A few days ago I contacted TN who told me he wasn’t sure if he would release TN Hen D, which I reported in my blog. This article was true (which can easily be proven since I’m the first one who published the changelog for TN Hen D, before pspgen) , and based on a series of emails Total_Noob and myself personally exchanged.
However an article posted a few hours ago on pspgen stated that TN Hen D will in fact be released, unlike what some “sites with no credibility” were claiming.
I’m convinced the article in pspgen is not targeting my website, but other random websites that claimed to have exclusive interviews with Total_Noob. There’s also a message from Magixien in the pspgen forum saying that I didn’t start this rumor, but he implies that I helped to spread it, which isn’t true, and I hope I made my point clear about that in the pspgen forums.
I’ve known Magixien for a little while now, and I can surely recognize pspgen’s artificial drama articles when I see them. Being in the middle of one of those is like a dream come true 😉
Yes I did contact TN, and yes 3 days ago he was still unsure about the release of his latest HEN, I don’t think I have to prove anything given how long I’ve been in the scene (That and the fact that I was the first beta tester of Total_Noob’s work). I won’t copy/paste his entire email because it did contain personal stuff, but just because he wasn’t sure 3 days ago doesn’t mean he didn’t change his mind recently.
Actually, the confusion comes from the fact that the sites targeted by pspgen’s article are so unknown that nobody even cared to check about them, and therefore people automatically assumed pspgen was targeting me, that I started a rumor, while all I did was making sure it was true by directly contacting Total_Noob. And again, at the time I wrote this article, its content was true. I’m also convinced that the many supportive messages you guys posted here or on /talk helped TN to take his decision.
Anyways, the only thing that matters is that Total_Noob reacted positively to the massive support you guys demonstrated and the release of the new TN HEN D will be done on Friday, and really, that’s what counts 🙂
Personal message to Total_Noob: man, if you ever read that, I’m so sorry for all the drama, that was definitely not the goal, and I know you don’t need that on top of all the haters. But hey, it definitely shows people care about your work 🙂

exactly what i have said. he made us wait in the very beginning last year and disappoint with an imcompatible product. then vf patched so he lost the limelight, then mathieu cracked the psp keys, and ppl thought there would be no need for hens anymore. when we found out the keys were incomplete, he released tn c to grab the limelight, then he posted a teaser for tn d but pro beat im to it, so he sulks and waits for all the desperate ppl to post so he once again can get attention. i would not be surprised if once again, another significant development overshadows his tn d release

You seem awful desperate to try and convice people that Pro is better(even though this thread has nothing to do with that)…. could it be because you’re afraid that after TN-D releases that most people are going to drop Pro like a bad habit and flock to TN-D?
Don’t be too concerned, while this will most definatly happen, there will be so few pro users when TN-D releases that Pro will seem all but forgotten, but fear not, if Pro really is as good as you say it is, things will eventually balance back out and stabalize over a couple weeks, Pro will gain back some of it’s user base and hopefully go on to succeed as an open source project…….and who knows, perhaps it’s developers will even learn a thing or two about giving credit where credit is due. 🙂

You would be wrong if you think I’m a pro hater, what i hate is the trolls who go cross thread and try to ruin threads related to a Hen that they’re not even using, it’s stupid, it’s childish, and i really wish Wololo would start bringing the delete hammer down on these trolls.
For someone to simply say
“TN Hen is ***” or “Pro is ***”….. only serves to show tremendous disrespect to the developers who have worked hard only to be spat on and betrayed by the people they are working to please, you didn’t pay a dime for it nor did you contribute anything of value and therefore have not even earned the right to call it “***”…… it just really irks me that people are even being allowed to say these things that they have not earned the right to say.
The developers want to have a war between themselves, let them, they have earned the privilidge to do so…… but WE are just users, WE are nobody, we should simply keep our mouths shut and be happy and run whichever we prefer, spot a bug, report it, learn your role for it is an extremely unimportant one….. the developers are not sports teams, they dont need for you to cheer them on, this is NOT a game of “my daddy can beat up your daddy”….. so my honest suggestion for all fan boys is this…. “KNOW YOUR ROLE… and SHUT YOUR HOLE”

i couldn’t care less if there is never another pro release ever. i’m very happy with it and couldn’t ask for more and i couldn’t care less if noone upgrades . i just wanted to make sure ppl realise that there was no reason to wait for tn d. i read some your post abt umd drive problems. these are very few and it was most likely the users fault somehow or other. pro only writes to flash once the first time you install it and then never again, until you uninstall so it is very stable , safe and reliable. it also handles homebrew just as well as tn hen. these are things which ppl need to know. i was also considering it heretical until a few days ago to upgrade, but i realise now that this was mostly because of the flash issue, and because of misinformation out there. i can assure you however that most iso users will be back on pro very soon after trying tn, which is the main differece between them. i know most users here are saying they mostly do homebrew, probably hogwash , but anyway, its better to have the option, rather than to go back and forht between the two
so yeah i dont care and i aint desperate for ppl ot upgrade. i’m posting here, because theres no point posting on 6.35 forums, because everyone there already has the facts, while most of those here have been desperately waiting for nothing.
i also think wololo is definitely biased against pro and is misinforming ppl abt the real difference between the 2 and i assure you its not homebrew stability or even compatibility for that matter. ppl need to know this thats all

BTW, I think its only reasonable that TN’s hater should also consider deleting some of his plugins on their PSP. Those TN criticizers are using some of his stuff like dayviewer, vshmenu and the likes, so in conjunction with these i think its fair that you remove his work on your PSP. Needless to say your an a-hole if youre still using his work then bloating in PRO. Shame on you.

haiz… gonna ignore these flames and criticism. Can you all people at least make it not so seriously. Fighting is bad and whats the point when every developers improve their software.. People who are responding back to the reply thats trigger bitterness are the people who are affected and making it a biggest hugest problem. Then again I appreciate both softwares because this is what we all wanted for to happen. To have access various app and etcs and also access many games towards our memory stick though some don’t. Don’t care if TN if ever don’t want to release the hen, because I have other important business to mater for, not to be stick in a belief which is who is the best in the virtual world. Very will then, about TN either you release or not is not of my concern hope others do to. Whats important is that I had been entertain which ever software I’ve run for the sake of passing time.

Wrong… Total Noob found the kernel exploit that made possible a HEN in the first place. I have nothing against Coldbird or VF, in fact I agree with having a choice in HEN. But it was thanks to Total Noob that we know have either HEN.

joseph is right man, the kernel exploit used in 6.35 by VF and CB is the same used in 6.20 that came from TN..VF and CB actually plagiarize the codes that tn develop for this exploit..
Incorrect, 6.35 PRO have never been made if not for 6.20 TN HEN.
Probably another hacker would find a exploit if TN were not in the scene (hypothetically espeaking), but NOT the Chinese.

Why TN-D not release yet or maybe TN is stealer from PRO HEN-B work and dont know how to fix PSN/PSX bug? I think the better and the real PSX/PSN support is PRO HEN-B. TN is a lie news with full PSX/PSN support, if real where is TN-D???.

it is very possible that tn d is buggy in that avenue because thats what happened last time he delayed his release for tn a. anyway i think its highly likely that he does have psx support or he wouldn’t have made the sample video a while back. i think he delayed because he wanted to see fools grovelling, and he knew pro was way better and wanted his ego boosted. he was probably hoping that psx support on pro b would be imperfect lol

sorry if it came out a little bit harsh to some TN loyalists here, but I don’t see the point of continuing using 6.20 when 6.35 are hacked, can you play Dragonball Z Tag VS on 6.20? probably not unless you know how to fake the version, but that is a daunting task to people who don’t know how, and a dangerous one.
also, using the most up to date firmware will ensure you to log on to PSN Store to buy game add-ons and extras. Or simply browsing what they have in store.
I don’t have a psp before when Liquidzigong were in the scene, I heard he is a great hacker, and he is chinese.
@ masterfu, let me tell u sth, I use TN hen and i can play 630 and higher OFW games (DBZ, GOW, PES 2011, etc) both original psn and iso back ups, in fact with running hen and pressing select the spoof version is already activated and my psp thinks i am on 637 OFW, i also can activate fake region stuff, and so far while running the hen i can enter tthe psn store with my username without updating and i can play online and download media not just from Usa store but different regions. I’ve tried pro b on my 3k but its stability and iso compatability is not very good, in fact many bugs are needed to be solved, there is no order there and finally each time u or i use pro b your writing the flash 0 with a probability to brick ur psp, as for the CFW stuff thats just the name coz it is a LCFW not finished and TN hen is also a LCFW a little bit more stable and efficient, now on my psp go and my 3k i have tn hen. Finally don,t say tn hen is crappy, is u llike pro b at least tell me sth in whcih is superior to tn hen as i have already proved everything you claim about pro b is alredy done fawlessly by tn hen C
most of what you have said is complete nonsense. i can prove it. i’m talking specifically about the iso compatiblility list of tn hen . you claim its better. its actually quite atrocious, not to mention that you need plugins to launch from xmb. go here to see a list of isos that don’t work

you might notice if u analyse that most of those that are confirmed working are tested on pro. unfortunately, the list doesnt distinguish pro and hen, but from my own tests i can definitely say pro is far more compatible. in fact, i think you could say most raw iso (unripped or fiddled with) do work with pro B. the buggy pro you speak of may be one of the pro ‘A’ versions.

they are simply different, both have bad aspects and good aspects…

Prometheus ISO Loader cannot launch a lot of games. I tried Namco Museum Battle Collection on it, and it didn’t launch.
It’s a shame that wololo can’t erase comments like yours and @nightcraver’s that only serves as food for a useless fire. Take comments like these and soon you’ll be in a senseless war, replying once after another without giving conclusion.

6.20 TN-D an outdated firmware and late release and what’s next? less compatibility and less feature, TN should work on higher firmware. 6.35 TN? or maybe he can’t do his work on 6.35 firmware.

don’t get mad at him, he’s doing you a favor just upgrade as i have and say goodbye to tn hen forever. he knows pro is better that is why he wants to cancel his release. there is simply no use for his hen what so ever anymore and it is pointless for him to continue. also i bet there are issues and bugs with it, remember that tn a through to c couldn’t run isos very well compared to pro B, so it wouldn’t suprise me if its psx suport is just as buggy.
