TN Hen: uploaded a more convenient package
Apologies to everyone for the timeouts that have been happening for the last couple days, my site is getting much more traffic than it can handle, and I’ve spent a good amount of the day tryin to patch things here and there.
Earlier today developer Virtuous Flame released a quick patch for Total_Noob’s Hen, so that PSP3000 users could run the Hen. apparently this patch is not perfect as several psp3000 users reported that although the Hen starts correctly, running homebrews leads to a crash most of the time.
I have extensively tested Total_Noob’s work on my psp3000 in its early stages, so I am confident that it works on a psp3000, and whatever people are experiencing on this public release is most likely a tiny bug that will be fixed soon. Keep in mind that there are two types of PSP3000 (3g and 4g), and it is very likely that only one of the models (most likely 4g) is affected by the bug.
My PSP 3000 is now on 6.35 so I cannot test the Hen with this model anymore.
However I packaged an “easy to use” archive which contains everything you need to run the Hen (except the patapon demo). This package includes the unofficial patch by VFlame, and hopefully wil make life easier for many people. Here’s a video showing the Hen in action on a pspgo, running the upcoming release of Wagic (0.14) directly from the XMB.

NOTE: WESTPOINT’s advice actually works!!! Just take out the memory stick, restart the VSH and then re-insert the memory stick after the XMB fully loads. Pure Genius!!
So, I think I’ve found a way to downgrade using this…PSP Tool works great on the HEN, so you can just soft-mod to make a Pandora Battery, then make a magic memory stick, use it, and then plug in your PSP to charge, then load PSP Tool once more and reset the Pandora to a regular battery!!! Gonna try that now…
But pandora battery doesn’t work on psp 3000, Go, and the newer 2000.

Wololo, confirmation would be through this exploit used by HEN Tn, will provide access to 32MB of RAM blocked. I think the Iso Loader depend on this additional memory for proper operation. Can you confirm this information? Thank you.

Hm, this HEN doesn’t seem to work on my psp. It’s a psp-3001, one of the first models available, so I would assume it to be one of the “3g” models you mention.
However, when I try to run either version of the HEN (original, or VFlame patch), it crashes after the “MEMORY LEAK” notice.
Isolated incident? Am I just unlucky?

@wololo Do you know if we’re going to get a list of compatible plugins for this? Or common knowledge of which ones TN has made compatible. I know its a question for TN really but he seems much less attentive to his boards then you.
wololo I explain that my psp 3001 grabs the hen to perfection but when I turn it off otherwise you see I have to repeat the procedure rare case …. I go to the system and says that is no longer ?????? Gallner gene is only temporary or !!!!???? state and repeating the procedure and all perfect but when I turn it off and not work another look I have to repeat??

6.20 TN-B would be awesome but as I imagine, this release will make the 6.35 Hen to be very delayed or what ever is TN is planning to do(Hen?Downgrader?). But Hey I can’t complain, this work is complicated and boring to do.

You do not need the actual UMD, just the demo…and the HEN will be coming to 6.35 sometime in January/February 2011…patience is a virtue, trust me!

I was facing the same problem (PSP 3004), but after putting Virtuous Flame’s patch in mc, it’s running okay.
I’ve tested Wagic and Picodrive and both worked perfectly.
Maybe you should try reinstalling the HBL and the HEN.

Yes! My 6.20 PSP-1003 was downgraded using the HEN and PSP Tool! Battery’s back to normal aswell now! Awesome! Thanks Wololo for HBL, Total_Noob for the HEN and whoever made PSP Tool…awesome!
can someone answer my question? will “PSP Universal Remote” and “IR shell” work on the TH HEN? and yeas i have a psp 1000 with tn hen already installed.
Yes, they should, but don’t bother…just downgrade using the HEN: I did it successfully to 5.00 M33 not even half an hour ago. It works like a charm!

I’ve got a problem.
On my fake sony 8 GB HEN works fine, but on 16 GB microsd with adapet photofast (first slot filled, second not) it doesnt’t detect extras, music, photo (and possibility video) and crach hombrews, but sensme works.
Why is that?
Is this my bad or HEN not support 16 GB’s cards?

Guys! Downgrade your PSP’s using the HEN and HBL! It’s so easy!
This will definitely work on PSP-100x’s (Original).
I am not sure if it work on PSP-200x’s or PSP-300x’s (Slim ‘n’ Lite and 3000)
This will NOT work on the PSP Go (PSP-N1000)

Make sure your memory stick is either Sony, SanDisk or Lexar. If not, check it is NOT a “fake” memory stick.
Check if your battery can be changed to a Pandora…if it’s the one that came with your PSP, it can.
1) Put the PSP Tool EBOOT.PBP file at PSP/GAME/PSP Tool on your memory stick and put the downloaded 5.00 update on the root of your memory stick (where the PSP, VIDEO, MUSIC etc. folders are) and name it 500.PBP .
2) Load the HEN via HBL (if not already done so)
Take out your memory stick, press SELECT, “Restart VSH”, and re-insert memory stick.
3) Load PSP Tool from Game > Memory Stick on your PSP.
4) Once in PSP Tool, go to “Memory Stick Options” > “Create Magic Memory Stick” > “Desparter del Cementario v8 (5.00 M33-4)” and wait…when asked to “inject the Time Machine IPL”, select “Yes”. If asked to change the battery’s serial, select “No”. When asked for the “key(s) to boot”, hold down the L Trigger.
5) Once the magic memory stick is ready, go back to the main menu of PSP Tool by pressing “O” twice.
6) Go to “Battery Options” > “Convert to Service Mode Battery” and the serial should change to 0xFFFFFFFF. Now you can exit PSP Tool by pressing HOME or PS.
7) Take out the battery, then re-insert it whilst holding down the L Trigger: You should get a menu asking to install 5.00 M33-4. Follow the on-screen prompts to install 5.00 M33-4.
8) Restart your PSP by pressing “X” when asked. Your battery is still pandora, but the PSP boots.
9) Congratulations! Your PSP now has CFW!!! Now just update to 5.50 GEN-D by going to Game > Memory Stick (if you want — it’s the latest CFW, as far as I know) and then you’re done!
pls help me i have a psp 3004 v 6.20 and when i load the hen my psp gets damn slow can u give me some suggestions , but when i load the hen for the first time it was normal but after some time it became like this pls give me some suggestions

Why should it? The 6.20 HEN is way better than 5.03 right now. We can even update with the TN Network Update

hen should not be run on 6.10 upgrade to 6.20 and your good to go with the patch from wololo.
I have some problems with a PSP 2010 and a PSP 3000:
In the psp 2010 the homebrews starts good, but in 10 minutes crash, in the psp 3000 the same but in 30 minutes-50.
in the 2 im using the vsh menu restart.
I have other question, what about the Usb iso loader of the psp, anyone try this? I try, but i have only a iso of naruto shippuden heroes 3, and when i start the homebrew and the program in the pc, in my psp detect the iso, i run it, but there stop and i only can go to the xmb. But, the program have low compatibility, so anyone try with other isos?
