Apologies to everyone for the timeouts that have been happening for the last couple days, my site is getting much more traffic than it can handle, and I’ve spent a good amount of the day tryin to patch things here and there.
Earlier today developer Virtuous Flame released a quick patch for Total_Noob’s Hen, so that PSP3000 users could run the Hen. apparently this patch is not perfect as several psp3000 users reported that although the Hen starts correctly, running homebrews leads to a crash most of the time.
I have extensively tested Total_Noob’s work on my psp3000 in its early stages, so I am confident that it works on a psp3000, and whatever people are experiencing on this public release is most likely a tiny bug that will be fixed soon. Keep in mind that there are two types of PSP3000 (3g and 4g), and it is very likely that only one of the models (most likely 4g) is affected by the bug.
My PSP 3000 is now on 6.35 so I cannot test the Hen with this model anymore.
However I packaged an “easy to use” archive which contains everything you need to run the Hen (except the patapon demo). This package includes the unofficial patch by VFlame, and hopefully wil make life easier for many people. Here’s a video showing the Hen in action on a pspgo, running the upcoming release of Wagic (0.14) directly from the XMB.
Download the package on our TN page, here.

PSP 3004 6.20 (picodrive and SNES both of them crashed)

@Loveya
IF nothing is working for you, here are the quick steps
1. Backup your Memory card data to PC and format the Memory Card.
2. Install patapon2 with Hen
3. Run the Hen and check if SNES & Picdrive works or not. If they work jump to step 4 otherwise download a new hen and test until both snes and pico works
4. Now replace the Hen eboot with TN eboot
5. Now test and report ,
hope this will clear the things for you..all the best-
I tried it out earlier today, Formatting the MC then tested HBL rev 109 alone without HEN,
it worked fine with pico drive.Once I put the TN eboot.pbp I am able to see the VSH menu by pressing select button, but it crashes when i start a Homebrew.

Dear Wololo,
Can you make a thread where user can post there test report with PSP Model and App they tried. It will be great for others to see what works and what not -
Hey its ok the time outs isn’t gonna stop me for going in this website.
Wololo, why did you update?? Did TN tell you anything about 6.35 hen/dowgrader that’s why you update??
I also update to 6.35(please don’t say anything about me updating) because I miss my PSN games(armored core, medal of honor, metal gear peace walker, and etc). And the good part about it is I can still use homebrew using the new demo exploit
-
@wololo
did you contacted dridri to ask about the iso loader -
but will it blend??
-
Again, psp crashes, with the package of total noob, i will try again with the erase of all the psp and the system restore.
-

Sheesh guys,
With all due respect to TN, why dont you just use HBL until TN can iron out the kinks?
I mean you can run 6.35 stuff almost flawlessly using it. Im on 6.31 PSP Go and HBL runs almost every emulator GREAT! Wololo’s HBL actually WORKS for now.
This also takes some of the pressure off of TN until he can rectify the problems. -
@wololo
How to enable Plugin?
-
Again, formate, system recover, tn package, NO, dont start a homebrew, crash at the start.
Something to fix this? -
I guess the newer psp mobo is causing this crushes. Just a theory
-
Whether you use Virtuous Flame’s Patch or original, if you are getting the HEN to boot on your PSP 3k but not able to play certain homebrews, then there’s a bug in the HEN. But soon it will be fixed.
-
Anyone know how to fix this boot crash? Please?
-
wow so many issues <_< lolz
anywhoo merry early christmas wololo XD -
my psp is 3004 pb

HEY! HOW TO ENABLE plugins!
-
@Punker69
I think you have to run prxlauncher or whatever it is called since there is no recovery menu on TN HEN.
-
-
…tN-makes a freaking homebrew enabler for the fast few months and still……most of u still keep asking/complaining about a freaking iso loader?!
Some could atlease appreciate TNs hard worki can understand it being used for go but it’ll be used fo all the wrong reasons afterwards <_< lolz

I replied to you. This is what i said: “I think you have to run prxlauncher or whatever it is called since there is no recovery menu on TN HEN.”
-
thanks mate
-
@Punker69
Don’t do this on a PSP 3000. If you have an older model of the PSP, test it on that.

idk if wololo knws this but i also have the psp 3001 6.2 and its been installed but not only does it load homebrews but umds,comic reader anything tht makes it load the gameboot,if u hav the gameboot turned off it freezes and crashes right at the xmb…sigh…i thinktotal noob constrated only on psp go..i knew something like this would happen…btw the chinese hacker thingy doesnt help at all…hope
total_noob plz fix this ASAP -
@wololo could you ask T_N for a rough estimation of when the hen should be available for the newer FW? Like “in about 1 month or 6 weeks” or even just a confirmation that it will come out (I know he said he would release it sometime, but there were no updates on that, so I’m a bit unsure).
And BTW nice work with the Hen! unfortunately I cannot test it :’(
-
Thank you very much, Wololo, Total Noob, and everyone who helped with this project…
It works on my PSP 3001! -
Is getting better. Thank you Wololo and total noob.
-
my 3004 (european) data code 8D works perfect with Vflames patched HEN ( i didnt test the older version though). no problem at running any homebrews.
does not freeze in any situation, not even if you pull of the konami code in the XMB, which is so 1337 that it caused official firmwares to crash, but TN can handle it, cuz hes 1337 enough himself. im talking shit. but im excited.
thanks.

Apparently we're on twitter too
