TN Hen: more progress, looking more and more like a CFW
Total_Noob posted a quick update on his blog to talk about his progress over the week (thanks to Tomcluse for the tip):
- – Reversed all systemctrl exports
- – Added USB battery charging
- – Added ability to watch 480×272 avc video
- – Added feature to skip gameboot
- – Added possibilty to hide PIC0.PNG and PIC1.PNG
- – Fixed issue with some VLF homebrews
- – Added possibilty to adjust CPU speed
- – Added fake region feature
- – Added TN network update
- – Resolved all important NIDs
- – Increased homebrew compatibilty
- – Compressed rebootex
In simpler words, Total_Noob is slowly adding to his Hen the features that you would normally see in a CFW. I’m personally crossing fingers for an unlock on the extra 32MB, and I hope plugin support will make it too. Total_Noob told me he has support for PSPLink now, but I couldn’t confirm it, either because I didn’t setup my PSP correctly, or maybe because of a tiny bug in the early beta I got.

Meanwhile, dridri is reporting progress on his ISO Loader on our forums, hopefully this will work with little additional effort when the Hen is released.
has been a while aye pspowner… maybe he’s giving us suspense. hopefully for a release date. dude, i want this hen so bad… ever since i sold my phat, i miss the beauty of cfw… but no… i HAD to get a pspgo.
oh and @wololo, have you got a tutorial on MIPS Assembly? ive learnt some C, now i wanna get the hang of MIPS so i can help you out with hbl and stuff.

Hey, I’ve got a question and I hope somebody can answer it.
Do you remember Coyotebean and his saying he had a kernel access?
Is it the same as Total Noob’s?
Did they discover it together and they decided to give all credit to Total Noob?
If it is different, then there is more than one kernel access, if so, what would be the advantages of this?
Somebody, I don’t remember who, mentioned once that the vulnerability was present in 6.30 and 6.31 too. Would SONY be able to patch it in the next OFW they release or is it possible to hide this vulnerability for the upcoming upgrades?

@paKO JONES the kernal exploit from coyotebean is diffrent from tootal noob kernal exploit yes its a good advantage he could use that in newer firmware that will be made or it also could be patch too who knows well if coyotebean do has a kernal exploit that will be good and you cant hide the vulnearbility of any exploit.
well if TN mentions what is left for him to do in the HEN so we can know what is his work left 🙂 and if TN thinks that the 20 and 21 date is before Christmas

It’s a bit sad for everyone that T_N, hasn’t given an update these days. But I really think that he is close to finishing the HEN although no one knows when he’ll release. It’s becoming hard to be patient and with less days remaining for Christmas, it’s even more hard. But I guess we can’t do anything except waiting. Cheers. Peace.

this week on sunday there should be a blast or a nuclear blast in the psp world of homebrew by TN and double blast to who which is making the CFW (note non permanent CFW) with iso loader ( I know it includes iso loader and
I think dridri is on it)

As everyone knows,the CFW is the allmighty hacked Firmware which you will need in order to run homebrews,plugins,etc.Remember when TN changed the displayed values of the FW and the MAC adress?Well,AFAIK,thats called CFW too.So,is it that right or not?

6.30+ should not get the HEN…i am on 6.31 but it shouldnt get the HEn…for some people that want the hen will use it for homebrew and all that good stuff(like me) but many people will use the hen to cheat and hack on online games,the psp already has alot of cheaters why add more to the bunch?
